Lymphatic Massage

Manual lymphatic drainage was pioneered by two Danish doctors in the 1930s for the treatment of chronic sinusitis and other immune disorders. In 1936, they introduced this technique in Paris, France and after World War II, they teached other practitioners to use this therapy.

The lymphatic drainage activates the lymphatic system by means of various grip techniques (standing circle, pump handle, scoop handle and twist grip), above all by improving the pumping power of the lymphatic vessels, or more precisely the lymphangiones. The frequency of Lymphangione is about 10-12 contractions per minute under rest conditions, this can be increased up to 20. The therapist creates a stimulus for the tissue with his changing pressure. The smooth (involuntary) lymphangione muscle cells respond to this stimulus with increased pumping frequency. Frequent repetition of the handles is followed by an increased flow rate.

This treatment technique requires at least 1 hour. Individualized treatment can take up to 1½ hours.

Your Advantages are:

  • Massage improves blood and lymph circulation.
  • Invigorates the muscles
  • Gives you fresh energy.
  • Reduction of stress.
  • Results in a comfortable physical and mental relaxation.
  • Results in a silky soft and very supple skin.
  • Mindful touch can trigger physical well-being, and give a feeling of comfort.
